Terms of service

These terms cover your use of this website and the digital guides sold on it. By buying from us or using the site, you agree to them. We have tried to keep them readable.
In these terms, "we," "us," and "our" mean Cartwise. "You" means you.
1. What you are buying
A digital guide, delivered as a PDF, for your own personal use. Nothing physical ships.
When you buy, we grant you a personal, non-transferable licence to read, print, and keep the guide. You may print a copy for yourself and for people in your household.
You may not resell it, republish it, post it publicly, upload it to a file-sharing or summary site, or use its contents to build a competing product. You may not remove attribution from it.
We keep the copyright. Buying a copy does not transfer it.
2. Delivery
Delivery is immediate and by email or download link. If it does not arrive, contact us and we will get you the file. There is no time limit on that.
3. Prices and payment
Prices are in US dollars and may change, though a change never affects an order already placed. Payments are handled by Shopify Payments; we never see your full card details.
Where a product shows a struck-through price, that is a genuine former or regular price for this store, not a comparison against anyone else.
4. All sales are final
Because the guides are delivered digitally and immediately, all sales are final. We do not offer refunds, returns, or exchanges. See our Refund Policy.
If a download fails or a file is corrupt, that is a delivery problem rather than a refund question, and we will get you the file. See section 2.
5. What the guides are, and are not
The guides are information, not advice for your particular situation. They describe how grocery pricing, labelling, and store layout generally work, and what we believe you can do about it.
Every factual claim in them is sourced to a named public source, and those sources are listed in the back of each guide so you can check them yourself.
Even so:
- We do not guarantee savings. What you save depends on where you shop, what you buy, and what prices are near you. Any figure in the guides is an illustration drawn from the cited source, not a promise about your grocery bill.
- Prices, products, and store practices change. A guide is accurate as of when it was written and will drift.
- Nothing here is financial, nutritional, medical, or legal advice. If you need advice about your own circumstances, ask someone qualified to give it.
6. Acceptable use
Do not attempt to break, overload, or gain unauthorised access to the site, and do not use it for anything unlawful.
7. Availability
We try to keep the site up but do not promise it always will be. We may change or discontinue products at any time. If we discontinue something you already bought, you keep your copy.
8. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential losses arising from your use of the site or the guides, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us.
Nothing here limits liability that cannot legally be limited, including for fraud or for death or personal injury caused by negligence.
9. Privacy
Our Privacy Policy explains what we collect and why. In short: we collect what we need to take your order and send you what you bought, and we do not add you to a marketing list.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version in force is the one published here on the day you order, and the date at the top tells you when it last changed.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, United States, and the courts there have jurisdiction — except where the consumer law where you live gives you the right to bring a claim locally, which this does not take away.
